I’m a professional editor with 10+ years of experience freelancing and working with literary agencies and traditional publishing houses, including as an Assistant at Kimberley Cameron & Associates Literary Agency, as an Editorial Assistant at HarperCollins, and an Assistant Editor at Pearson.
Across these roles, I’ve worked with manuscripts at every stage of development—from early submissions to publication-ready projects. At the agency level, I evaluated queries and manuscripts, developing a sharp understanding of what captures an agent’s attention in a competitive market. In-house at HarperCollins, I assessed submissions and refined manuscripts for publication, with a focus on structure, clarity, and narrative strength. At Pearson, I further developed my editorial skills with a strong emphasis on precision, clarity, and audience alignment.
Together, this experience gives me a well-rounded perspective on both the creative and professional demands of publishing—and what it takes for a manuscript to stand out.
Today, I bring that industry insight into my work with writers. My goal is not just to improve your manuscript, but to help you understand why certain changes strengthen your work—so you can grow as a writer in the process.
I’m particularly interested in children’s fiction, including middle grade and young adult, as well as contemporary novels, romance, and fantasy.
I’m especially passionate about helping writers shape compelling, cohesive stories while preserving their unique voice. Whether you’re drafting your first manuscript or preparing to query agents, I approach every project with thoughtful, honest feedback and a collaborative mindset.
My Approach
Editing is not about rewriting your work—it’s about helping you tell your story in the strongest possible way.
I focus on:
- Clarity, structure, and narrative impact
- Strengthening voice without losing authenticity
- Practical, actionable feedback you can apply immediately
Let’s Work Together
